About the NCIPP

This tool has been designed to facilitate cultural learning, historical awareness, and further cross-discipline study for all age groups. In agreement with Native Land Digital and other modern anthropological scholars, this project prioritizes the recognition of California’s tribal heritage.

As on onging effort, this project seeks to include contemporary indigenous voices in the tribal description process. Thus voices from multiple generations may be included in the NCIPP as it evolves.
